In another major step in this city’s ongoing redevelopment, the Long Branch Planning Board granted approval for South Beach at Long Branch, a luxury oceanfront condominium project to be developed by FEM Real Estate LLC, which is based in Montville. The project, approved on December 3, will add 47 two- and three-bedroom units at the southernmost point of the city’s Beachfront South redevelopment area, according to Mimi Feliciano, FEM’s chief executive officer and founder.
Long Branch resident Mimi Feliciano plans on constructing 47, $1 million units in a 8-story, 2-towered, tiered building in the next few months at 320 Ocean Ave., which is the street end of North Bath Avenue. "Our concept for this project is a single building that's connected on the first floor and then splits into two towers," architect Jim Monteforte said at the Oct. 14 council meeting. "The reason we did this was to break up the building and add more light, visibility and air through the project itself."
A new luxury condominium project at the city's beachfront has taken a step closer to approval. Mimi Feliciano, a Long Branch resident and CEO of FEM Real Estate based in Montville, has designs to build 47 condominium units on 1.8 acres at the corner of North Bath and Ocean avenues. It's called South Beach at Long Branch. The luxury units could sell for as much as $1 million.
